Converting Bijoy documents

Documents typed with the old Bijoy keyboard store Bengali in a private encoding, so on the modern web they show up as scrambled Latin letters. The fix is a one-way conversion to Unicode — the standard every phone, browser and search engine understands.

Two ways to convert

Paste the broken text into the free বিজয় থেকে ইউনিকোড page, or import the whole Word file in the Shabdakalpa app (⋯ menu → Import) — it spots Bijoy text and offers the conversion itself.

The converter reads the encoding only; no keyboard layout is copied. Rare conjunct forms are still being added — tell us when a word comes out wrong.
